Excelsus is situated on the Free State side of the Vaal Dam between Oranjeville and Deneysville on the farm Roodepoortjie. Excelsus has twelve kilometers of dam frontage and farms only with stud cattle, raising calves on natural veld and perennial planted pastures. To handle, breed, market and maintain the high quality stock available using all our natural resources, pastures and natural veld to run the whole enterprise profitable.

Fleckvieh are a true Dual Purpose breed specifically bred for superior Beef and Milk qualities. Members of the Fleckvieh Society are encouraged to breed a middle of the road animal with easy doing ability. They must be structurally sound and highly fertile, able to fit into any breeding operation, purebred or cross breeding. Importance is also placed on efficiency, early maturation and ease of birth.

Our family run operation has been established since 1971. We mix farm cattle, horses, and grain. Our horses are all registered Quarter Horses, Thoroughbreds and warm bloods. The majority of our grain land produces livestock feed. We raise registered border collie dogs as well. Our dogs are bred from imported stock that are the best working bloodlines in the world.
